ERINN Innovation are seeking two new members to join our rapidly growing, dynamic team, dedicated to supporting the transition towards a better, more sustainable society. This is an exciting opportunity for creative, motivated professionals to play a key role in communicating and promoting internationally funded research projects, maximising the uptake and impact of scientific knowledge. Successful candidates will contribute to high-impact projects related to the environment, healthy oceans, and the blue economy, at both European and national level. Candidates will be expected to embrace a hands-on, collaborative approach inside a fast-paced multi-stakeholder environment.
Contract: Full-time, 2-year contract (6-month probation) with potential for renewal beyond 2 years. Position available immediately.
Salary Scale Range: €36,000 to €45,000 DOE

ERINN Innovation holds an extensive portfolio of European research projects and business services,focused upon delivering impact to stakeholders within policy, academia, industry and society across a wide range of thematics (Agriculture, Marine, Environment, Water, Peatland Restoration, Health, Climate Change, Energy, and Food).
We currently have vacancies for two Project Officers.
The Project Officers (POs) will be responsible for carrying out ERINN’s day-to-day role in specific European projects, ensuring their success for both ERINN and our partnerships. ERINN’s roles in projects typically include leading positions in dissemination, communication, project management, stakeholder engagement and knowledge management and transfer.
We welcome applications from recent graduates (in-house training will be provided), as well as individuals with project management, stakeholder engagement and/or science communication experience. Roles, titles and renumeration will be based on experience and qualifications.
– Develop and implement communication and dissemination strategies for EU-funded projects to maximise the visibility and impact of scientific research.
– Manage knowledge transfer activities, to enhance uptake of solutions by all types of stakeholders, and thus foster impact.
– Efficient Project Management with due regard to internal and external contracting authorities’ reporting requirements and statutory obligations, including event management, time management, budget management etc.
– Contribute to high quality, and timely, outputs and deliverables including, but not limited to, writing press releases and promotional materials such as infographics and videos, content management of project websites and several social media channels (e.g. LinkedIn, X, Facebook).
– Deploy creative stakeholder engagement and facilitation techniques to stimulate the development, co-design, co-creation, testing, as well as sharing of knowledge and experiences, and research and innovation opportunities.
– Engage in meetings, conferences, and project team events by delivering impactful contributions and effective presentations to diverse audiences, which may include partners and stakeholders from varied backgrounds and industries.
– Create and maintain excellent partner and stakeholder relationships, including representing ERINN externally.
– Participate in other business services provided by ERINN such as proposal reviews, training and funding mapping, knowledge transfer activities across the company portfolio (full training will be provided).
The successful candidates will possess excellent communication and editorial skills, strong planning and organisational abilities, initiative, attention to detail and cultural sensitivity for working within an international context. They will be proactive team players with the ability to create and maintain strong relationships among internal and external stakeholders. Travel for meetings, including international trips, will be required as part of this role.
Candidates should clearly demonstrate how and why they are aligned to ERINN Innovation’s values and highlight their specific skillsets which can contribute to building our internal capacity.
– EEA work authorisation as well as fluent written and spoken English.
– Educated to diploma/degree level in a relevant area e.g. environmental/marine science, biology, or social science, and/or at least two years previous relevant work experience.
– Excellent writing, copy editing and proofreading skills with a high level of attention to detail. Ability to understand complex information and capture it in a way that is accessible for non-experts and use it to produce quality content for a variety of platforms.
– Excellent project and time management skills: highly organised, ability to work on several projects simultaneously and to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
– Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate and work as part of a multidisciplinary, multicultural team. Ability to communicate and converse clearly, courteously, and professionally.
– Experience creating and managing digital content, including Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress or similar).
– Proficiency in managing social media platforms and content.
– Creative approach to problem solving, pro-active and willing to learn.
– Flexibility, as overtime may occasionally be required to meet deadlines as part of the contract. Roles may also be adapted in future depending on candidate strengths and the needs of the business.
Previous experience in communication, dissemination and knowledge management within EU-funded projects (Horizon Europe, H2020, etc.) is highly desirable.
– Experience of knowledge management, technology transfer, science in society or other processes involving the uptake of knowledge by different stakeholder groups such as industry, policy, science and society.
– Track record of success in writing grant applications, in specific in relation to EU Funding Programmes.
– Understanding of matters pertaining to the marine and the environment, climate change, and bioeconomy, with the ability to comprehend and offer insightful feedback on relevant plans and strategies.
– Active interest in science/scientific research/sustainable research and development.
– Event management experience, both online and in-person.
