ERINN Innovation is seeking a creative, digitally skilled communicator with 2-3 years’ experience to join our Communications Team, supporting EU-funded research projects focused on sustainability, climate action and innovation.
The successful candidate will be expected to embrace a hands-on, collaborative approach inside a fast-paced multi-stakeholder environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual to use their digital skills including website content management, social media, and design suite tools to develop assets and adapt key messages to suit a wide range of audiences.
Contract: Full-time, 2-year contract (6-month probation) with potential for renewal beyond 2 years. Position available immediately.
Salary Scale Range: €36700 – €44040 DOE
Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid – candidates must be resident in Ireland, attending the office one day per week minimum)

We welcome applications from individuals with 2-3 years’ experience in a communications, graphic/web design, or digital marketing role. Renumeration will be based on experience and qualifications.
ERINN Innovation’s Communications Team support activities across our extensive portfolio of European Research projects and business services. Day-to-day activities involve working alongside our multidisciplinary team focused upon delivering impact to stakeholders within policy, academia, industry and society across a wide range of thematics (Agriculture, Marine, Environment, Water, Peatland Restoration, Health, Climate Change, Energy, and Food).
– Create high quality content to communicate scientific research. This will include press releases, articles, newsletters, leaflets, brochures, infographics, videos, websites, and social media campaigns.
– Awareness and implementation of best practices in communication assisting the wider team to develop targeted materials and impactful communication campaigns that will deliver project and contract objectives across varied channels and activities.
– Contribute to ERINN Innovation’s Communications and Brand Strategies across our website, social media channels, and marketing materials, to deliver organisational objectives covering the full breadth of our business portfolio (research funding support, research communications and impact, knowledge transfer).
– Create and maintain excellent partner, contractor and stakeholder relationships.
A successful candidate will possess excellent communication and editorial skills, strong planning and organisational abilities, initiative, attention to detail and cultural sensitivity for working within an international context. They will be proactive team players with the ability to create and maintain strong relationships among internal and external stakeholders.
Candidates should clearly highlight their specific skillsets which can contribute to building our internal communications capacity.
– EEA work authorisation as well as fluent written and spoken English.
– Educated to diploma/degree level in a relevant area. Equivalisation may be granted to candidates with relevant work experience in lieu of formal qualifications in areas such as communications, public relations, media, marketing or journalism.
– 2–3 years of relevant experience in a related field (communications, graphic design/web design, digital marketing).
– Experience creating and managing digital content, including Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress or similar).
– Experience creating editorial content, layout and publishing.
– Experience managing social media platforms and content.
– Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
– Attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.
– Creative approach to problem solving, pro-active and willing to learn.
– Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate and work as part of a multidisciplinary, multicultural team. Ability to communicate and converse clearly, courteously, and professionally.
– Excellent project and time management skills: highly organised, ability to work on several projects simultaneously and to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
– Flexibility, as overtime may occasionally be required to meet deadlines as part of the contract. Roles may also be adapted in future depending on candidate strengths and the needs of the business.
– Active interest in science/scientific research/sustainable research and development.
– Event management experience, both online and in-person.
