The ERINN Funding Workshop Series includes support and mentorship from ERINN to a large group of researchers. Working through our step-plans, we teach participants how to find relevant calls within the work programmes and how to make strategic assessments to develop a shortlist of calls. This process involves independent work by the researchers between sessions with the outcomes of a shortlist of suitable calls with initial action plans and timelines in place. This could be considered the next step from Expand Your Horizons training.

Workshop content:

  1. Navigate the Horizon Europe Work Programme
  2. Strategic Filters – Why do you want funding and what is your offer?
  3. Go/No Go - Initial call screening and analysis
  4. Action Plans - Intelligence and networking

 

ERINN can help support in the “formation” stage of bid development, ensuring that an appropriate project design is developed and suitable consortia members are identified and recruited.

Workshop content

  1. Internal Brainstorming Workshop: a step-by-step process of call analysis with core group.
  2. Plan External Brainstorming Workshop: A senior ERINN consultant will work with the lead researcher to develop a concept note for external distribution to potential partners, engage and recruiting potential partners and help design an consortia initiation workshop for potential partners.
  3. Facilitate External Brainstorming Workshop: ERINN will set the scene and facilitate meeting brainstorming and discussions.

This is a workshop delivered over two sessions and involving the key members of a consortium. The outcome of the workshop is a structure and main outline of for Section 2.1 of the Horizon Europe proposal, providing a credible pathway to impact.

Workshop content:

  1. Preparation: Refining and gathering expected results of the project and preparing tailored workshop activities
  2. Delivery: Implementing ERINN’s impact pathway methodology, we work through expected results to be generated and how they respond to the expected outcomes of the call topic and collaborate on developing the impact pathways (Section 2.1)
  3. Follow up: After the workshop, we provide written guidance for further development of and finalising the impact pathways
